WHAT TO EXPECT…ALL THINGS FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAITS.

BEFORE PICTURE DAY:

-What should they wear? I always suggest staying away from neon colors, or clothing with logos or words on them.

-Some schools ask that parents fill out a model release / permission to take the child’s photo. If your school is asking you to do so, please make sure you submit the form before actual photo day! The link to do so will be in the parent email.

PICTURE DAY:

I will set up in the decided location - I use natural light, so the photos are usually done somewhere outside in the shade (under an overhang or something similar) or inside near a window! A teacher or a parent helper (or I can bring an assistant if needed) will bring individual students, or smaller groups to me. Each child will spend a few minutes with me, so I can capture a few different expressions of each, giving parents and caregivers a gallery with variety to choose from! I aim to provide an experience where the children can be themselves, never forcing a smile or suggesting awkward poses.

RECIEVING & ORDERING PHOTOS:

Within two weeks of photo day (but typically within a few days!), I will provide a link for the gallery for parents to proof their children’s images. There will be 2-5 images per child, and they will be in both color and black and white. From these galleries, prints and products can be ordered. The gallery will be live for seven days. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED WITHIN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD.

**Make-up photo day will be scheduled for a day after image galleries are proofed, in case a child needs them to be redone, or was absent the original photo day.**

Once orders are placed, the prints and products will be delivered to your school within four weeks.

**There is no cost to your school! I donate back 10% of the print sales profits directly back to the school!
